Chairman of the National Investment Commission
Molewuleh B. Gray, Esq. is an Attorney-At-Law with accreditation to practice in the Republic of Liberia. He holds a Post Graduate Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Economics from the University of Liberia. He possesses ten (10) years of progressive work experience in the public sector. His dedication to duty precipitated his rise through the rank and file of the National Investment Commission (NIC). Over the years, he served the Commission in various capacities including Senior Resource Officer, Program Assistant and Private Sector Focal Person, Special Assistant to the Chairman of the Commission, Legal Officer and Executive Director before his preferment as Chairman by His Excellency George Manneh Weah, President of the Republic of Liberia. Honorable Gray’s experience cuts across investment promotion, private sector development, natural resource governance, economic analysis, contract drafting and legal research.
Besides, Honorable Gray has attended several local and international training programs in the United States of America, South Africa, United Kingdom and Zambia. These training programs earned him the award of certificates in Public Private Partnership, Contract Drafting and Negotiation (Natural Resources), Local Content Management, Capacity Building for Coach Trainers and Inclusive Market Development for Private Sector. He has extensive travel experience, and has served on many delegations representing the National Investment Commission both in a nd out of Liberia.
As an Attorney-At-Law, Honorable Gray has provided adequate legal representations on behalf of the Commission, and expert legal advice to the offices of the Chairman and Executive Director. He is a fervent believer in multitasking. Accordingly, he worked on many projects across the Commission including the Special Economic Zone Act which was passed in 2017. He is very conversant with the mandate of the Commission, and is a repository of knowledge on its activities and long-term vision. His story is an inspiration to many. It is a testimony to the height one can possibly reach in an institution based on merit.
